“Have no fear of perfection – you’ll never reach it.” Salvador Dali was right because there is no such thing as perfection.

That might not sound so good if you are a perfectionist or recovering perfectionist.

Does the idea you will never reach perfection sound scary?

I can relate.

On my road to burnout, I was a total perfectionist.

I really thought there was somewhere to get to where things would be perfect.

It infiltrated every part of my life.

It wasn’t just me I wanted to be perfect, it was everyone around me too.

Literally no-one was living life by my rules.

I was right and they were all wrong.

It was exhausting.

A lot to think about.

A lot to do.

Far too much to say!

Trying to control everyone and everything around me was like playing an insane game of wack-a-mole!

But there is no perfect to get to because there is no such thing as perfection.

It just doesn’t exist.

Not for you.

Not for them.

Not for the situations you find yourself in.

All the time your body is letting you know this truth because the pursuit of this illusive perfection really does not feel good.

When you are in a good feeling, other things make sense.

Watch out for that!
