Can walking be part of your self-employed working day?

It turns out it can.

I’m actually writing this whilst I’m walking.

Well dictating it anyway.

But even if I wasn’t dictating this post at the time of my walk, I would still see it as part of my working day.

I used to categorise it as self-care or a break.

But that’s the joy of working for yourself isn’t it?

You get to make it up.

You get to call anything you want ‘work’

To be honest, I am always super refreshed and productive after my walk.

Business ideas often fall into place too.

But that’s not why I do it.

I do it because I get to make up what self-employment looks like.

Maybe there’s something that you would love to do during your work day.

You know it in your gut.

But there’s a little voice in your head that says, ‘You can’t do that.’

Guess what?

That little voice in your head knows nothing about what you can do.

That little voice in your head, is the sloppy leftovers of your old boss, traditional parent or grumpy teacher who told you what work was supposed to look like.

They told you that it’s supposed to look like sitting down and concentrating.

But you can reinvent creating a business your way.

There are no rules.

There seem to be but THEY ARE ALL MADE UP!

By society, by the past, by 19th century factory owners (Yes folks! That’s where it all started)

Nothing to do with you in 2022 (did you spot the poetry there).

Every day, you get to make it up your way.

You just have to ignore someone else’s idea which got stuck in your head.

Simple but not always easy so if you want some help with that you know where I am.

❓️What will you do your way today❓️
